 This cottage is tucked away within a large 500 acre country estate called Carreglwyd. Originally the gardener’s cottage, this residence has evolved to offer airy and bright cottage within peaceful surroundings, with a great view of the Victorian walled kitchen garden. Internally, the stairs are crafted form local wood and the kitchen is rustic with slate work tops and heated via a Rayburn range.
This is a cosy and warm retreat for two. There are great woodland walks within the mature woodlands on offer within the Estate and a lake for coarse fishing (with prior consent via the owner). Please note that the country estate does offer grouse and pheasant shooting so in the season, this may be noisy.
Just 20 minutes walk over on over the estate land is Borthwen Beach so that you can combine the quiet of the tree with the lull of the sea.
The cottage offers Flat Screen High Definition television, DVD player, in addition to the basics such as, washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, hair dryer, iron/ironing board and health and safety equipment, such as smoke alarms.
The accommodation can cater for up to 2 guests, plus one in cot or on day bed:
- I double bedroom with en-suite shower room
- Kitchen with Rayburn and dining seating for four
- Living area with seating for 4 and day bed and open fire/views over walled garden
- Heating via Rayburn in colder months. Electric heaters and emersion for hot water in warmer months
- Wide Screen High Definition TV/DVD
- A fold-up bed and a travel cot available for use
- High chair, travel cot and children’s toys available
- Parking for one car
- Outside area with lawn and BBQ and table/chairs
- Basket of logs provided and additional available for £5 per basket
- I dog allowed free – any additional cost £20 per week

Inclusive in the price for each cottage is a luxury welcome hamper.
Grocery deliveries can be arranged along with home-cooked meals using fresh local ingredients. In addition we can organise activities such as horse riding, go-carting, golfing, fishing and pamper days on your behalf.
We also offer services such as baby-sitting.
Access to the nearby Carreglwyd Estate with its huge fishing lake and woodland walks can be arranged.
