Borthwen Barns

Over the past two years we have converting the outbuildings of Borthwen Farm into a unique collection of holiday accommodation. The ten Barns are located on the north-west coast of Anglesey within an isolated coastal Area of Outstanding Beauty. They range in size from one to three bedrooms and offer luxurious, centrally heated. Less than a minute’s walk from the secluded and sandy Borthwen Bay, the Barns are also ideally situated to enjoy the rest of the plentiful coastline, with its accompanying walks and dramatic views. The Barns are conveniently located for exploring the beauty of the Isle of Anglesey, with the majestic Snowdonia mountain range only a thirty minute drive away.

Five Barn conversions are complete, with three currently available for holiday accommodation (with strong 4 star grading). Each are set within a well-designed courtyard which comfortably accommodates each of the ten Barns. The properties have designated parking with either communal gardens or their own gardens. There will be further five Barns available for holidays from July 2009, so watch this space....more information

Beachcomber’s

On Borthwen Beach just down the road for the Barns is another cottage available for holiday accommodation. This cottage (4 star grading) started out as a “bathing hut” for the occupants of the great Carreglwyd estate over 100 years ago! Since then it has slowly evolved into a very comfortable place, still set within the coastline and overlooking the spectacular and undiscovered sandy Borthwen Beach. No named Beachcomber’s, this accommodation is in an enviable location with the tranquil beach as its garden! The accommodation can cater for up to 5 guests...more information

Gamekeeper’s

Within the large country estate is the original gardener’s cottage. Now called Gamekeeper’s (three star grading) this secluded residence has evolved to offer airy and bright cottage within peaceful surroundings, with a great view form the studio living room of the Victorian walled kitchen garden. Internally, the stairs are crafted form local wood and the kitchen is rustic with slate work tops and heated via a Rayburn range. This is a cosy and warm retreat for two with great woodland walks within the mature woodlands and a lake for coarse fishing. Just 20 minutes walk over on over the estate land is Borthwen Beach so that you can combine the quiet of the tree with the lull of the sea...more information
