The new walks were opened in May 2008
thanks in a major part to a grant from the Cydcoed “Woodlands for All “ scheme from Forestry Commission Wales, which was
funded by the European Union and The Welsh Assembly Government.
The Walks are managed by the Carreglwyd Woodland Group who will gladly accept donations towards the general maintenance and development of the paths
Two large “wheelchair friendly” loops have
been created which are available in the
following periods:
February 1st to June 30th 9a.m to 5p.m each day
July 1st to August 31st CLOSED*
September 1st to January 31st Alternate Thursdays and Fridays by appointment **
* to facilitate the settling of the young pheasants
** targeted at organised groups or “Forest School” participants
Please keep Dogs on a lead during period 1 ( February to June )
NO DOGS during period 3 ( September to January )
……..and please take your litter home with you !
